When an SOS or emergency feature is triggered, the app may automatically collect and process the following information:

  • Network information (such as mobile network data when internet access is unavailable)

  • Wi-Fi information, which may be used to estimate floor level in multi-storey buildings

This data is collected automatically upon SOS activation to ensure timely and effective emergency response.

Emergency data is not shared automatically with external parties. Decisions regarding if, when, and with whom such data is shared are handled by TheChange Women’s Safety Initiative team and are limited strictly to situations where sharing is necessary to protect the user’s safety or comply with legal obligations.

2.4 Contacts and Guardian Information

Users are required to provide emergency contact and guardian information. This information is securely stored and used exclusively for safety-related purposes, including emergency communication and verification.

The app may request access to the user’s phone contact list for safety and security reasons. Users are clearly informed of this access at the time of login or permission request.
